Day 48_HAHA
2009-05-14 | Things that I am interested in
Marvellous~~find a way to break internet censorship, finally...
Now I can have access to Tennis slash&youtube, and many other websites that are blocked for some very stupid reason...
I simply love internet freedom fighters...they genious, and generous...stand up to "them", know how and above all, love to share with the rest of us who don't master the skills~~
Watching Christian and Oliver updates now...miss the two boys very much...besides, it's been half a year since i last logged onto Tennis Slash~~
Definitely the best thing that happened to me for this past few months...only one thing, google is misteriously disabled, which sucks, cuz google is my most frequently used search engine, much more frequently than Baidu, for that matter.
And I am very happy...there is no more obstacle between me and the real world^^Hooray...Things are clearly getting better^^
BTW, love my lucky Thursday~~all my little wishes are carried out, unexpectedly...
-
I was listening to Treat me right all night long, which brought back the bitter-sweet memory about Sydney...
-
It just came to my notice that youtube now officially joins the club= =|||being blocked...which means I couldn't watch Christian&Oliver weekly updates, as well as other interesting stuff on youtube anymore...
I wonder what charges they hold against youtube this time...wiki, livejournal, then comes youtube...who's next??? Google.com...they better watch out...for Policy makers are way too unpredictable...
Plus, it's been long rumored that a new rule will soon come into being, that free movie/tv downloading won't be allowed to circulate, until the contents are fully examined~~So much for freedom bullshit...typical~~one step forward, two steps back...
Forgive me, for I have no confidence in General Bereau of Radio, Film and Television, on what grounds they do so I can only imagine...one thing I'm certain of is that they don't do it on the score of piracy-fighting as they claimed or implied...there must be sth nasty behind this...fear of truth being told, perhaps, they reckon things have gotten out of control these days, esp. on the internet...then, who knows, one thing leads to another, I suppose one better not take any chances...not risk what one can't afford to lose...therefore I have nobody to blame but myself for this...I am the one who insisted on coming home...rather than stay in Australia...I am the one who knew perfectly what's on the other side...but ignored...and regretted...
Anyway, I have mininova&emule, that's more than enough...

Day 43_Time's ticking...
2009-03-08 | Things that I am interested in
I've been waiting for brand new eposide of Supernatural since early Feburary...it's said s04ep15 will be released on 5th of March...
It's 8th, new episode still not available...checked YDY and mininova, couldn't find ep15, I guess it hasn't been released yet...don't know what happened there...could it be new strategy on fighting against illegal downloading???? or simply because no one recorded the new episode, thus no one posted it to the internet...
kinda addicted to flash games these days... things like hidden object games... the obsession for Sudoku has faded away with me not making any progress in solving Sudoku mysteries for I am too lazy to learn any new/sophiscated skills...

Day 42_flash games
2009-03-06 | Things that I am interested in
I've been playing flash games for these past few days...good way to kill some extra time which I have a lot= =|||
This one I am gonna recommend is called MYSTERIEZ, classical hidden object games...some numbers are easy to find, others are not... the one with two scruptures is the no. 1 mystery for me... I almost gave up before I read some game cheats talking about this particular one... The one with a violin in is the second toughest one, the first time I played this one, I was only able to get half of them, which was the lowest score I'd ever had... then the notoriously ridiculous pic with a man standing by a truck... I found out all numbers, partially by pure luck, like. the no. 4... I got it by clicking all suspicious-looking spots...even though I've already known where 4 is, I still don't know what that thing had anything to do with 4...it doesn't look like four at all... and it's located at a very awkward and unlikely place...
My favorites are the bathroom one and the messy living room one... the latter of which I figured out all by myself, that's why I like it...to prove I am not a dummy= =|||
Here is Mysteriez 2, BTW, I like the music~~quite relaxing...
-
The bone collector is definitely a page turner...my neck and back hurted while I was reading the book...haven't read such great book since I finished the Da vinci Code last year...
22号密室/the Secret Chamber No. 22
First found the book (Chinese edition) at some dusty and crappy book store in Shanghai...by the time I returned the book, I was only half way through it...
Couldn't get the book off my mind since then...luckily, I managed to download the ebook from the internet...

Day 39_I am back!!!
2009-02-23 | Things that I am interested in
came upon a thread on Tianya which talks about old animation movies, like 大闹天宫, 小蝌蚪找妈妈, 黑猫警长, 神笔马良, 三个和尚, 哪吒闹海, 九色鹿, etc.... which brings back an old but absolutely great childhood memory of mine... I don't realized until now that I've seen such beautifully made, utterly artistic, and almost otherworldly animation movies when I was real young...
This makes me sad, what the crap those kids are watching nowadays= =|||
I'd been brainwashed...by western culture...didn't realize how marvellous&amazing Chinese culture is...
Animation Of China, in case anyone's interested... I am definitely gonna download all of these and save for my future kids...(hope so...) Modern Chinese animation movies are a bunch of rubbish...not worth watching at all... bringing shame to Chinese culture and animation industry... putting china's new generation in danger of being mentally disabled...

13-year-old Dad...
2009-02-17 | Things that I am interested in
Become a dad at the age of 13, Alfie Patten, his GF Chantelle Steadman and their baby girl, Maisie

Baby-faced, innocent-eyed, newly-turned father was feeding his baby girl...

absolutely stunned= =||| He is merely a child, if I didn't know better, I would think they are brothers= =||| Mama insists that there is no way he is the child's real father, I heard that he agreed to take a DNA test... Just curious to know if Maisie's his biological daughter... either way, it's bad= =|||read rumors about young mother's tangled past, it's said her elder sis gave birth to a child at the age of 13, their dad eloped with some girl when he's 43 and left the family behind; she does drugs, and has more than one boyfriends...
A 16-year-old boy has already came into the limelight/sportlight and claimed that he is the father...what a mess!!!
-
I was doing a bit of surfing...then came upon this, Time.com selected 25 best blogs...and the 5 most overrated blogs...
I read it through, and since I am not that into sports(except for Tennis, as a matter of fact, I've got ATP.com, for that matter, AndyRoddick.com and DavidNalbandian.com, it's more than enough...), politics, education and other serious-but-irrelevant-to-my-life stuff, therefore, here is my own pick for the best blogs...
My personal fav is Seth Godin's blog...The author is just bibbling babbling, but it's kinda fun in some sort of way...
As for the first one, I have absolutely no idea what the blog has to do with astronomy as its title "accidentally" reveals...I gave it a quick scan, found no astronomy-related stuff...I just put it there for safety...
Saidthegramophone is on the list, simply because I download music/songs from time to time, and I need some critical reviews to help me survive tons of music websites...
Google blog is quite handy...considering I use Google everyday...haven't got a clue how it works though...and how to make the most of it...hope this helps...

Day 36_News
2009-02-16 | Things that I am interested in
Gino and Angie Terranova
Angie: "You don't really think about getting older. First of all, you're aging together and when you see a person constantly you don't notice big changes. You don't notice, oh, you are getting a little wrinkle here and tomorrow you say it's a little deeper. Those are things that just happen. You don't pay attention to those things. I mean, I am not thinking everyday, oh my husband is 83 years old and my goodness I am married to an old man! And I hope he feels that way too."I was in tears as I read this...
Powerful new technique to meausre asteroids
"Knowing the sizes and shapes of asteroids is vital for not only understanding the evolution of such bodies in the early Solar System, but for quantifying the size distribution of potentially hazardous asteroids."
It's alleged that the most famous mass extinction event was caused by an asteriod of about 10 kilometers in diameter hitting the earth, dinosaurs extinction as we know was only one part of the chain reaction...
I read somewhere that there is this asteriod belt located roughly between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter(the planets^^) The sizes of those asteroids, also known as minor planets, range from a big of 400 km in diameter to a small of only dust particles...
Just imagine what will happen if one of those big stuff hit the Earth= =|||
N Korea claims "Space Programme"
Damn, who cares...
Australian Arson Suspect Named
Aussies always think of their beloved hometown a lucky land, when the rest of the world was brutally tortured by earthquake, hurricanes, floods, volcano explosion and avalanche, or suffered from economic recession, the island stays safe, almost like a fairyland, too good to be true.
Austrlia was immune to natural disasters, emotional scar/truama of which usually haunts the survivors for years. Apart from that, the nation seemed to have the ability to stay far away from aritifical diaster as well, like economic collapse, slowdown and recession. Japan used to be Australia's biggest trading parter, followed by USA(I guess). In 90s, Japan fell into miserable and seemingly endless recession, then at the begining of the 21st century, Chinese economy was back on track, experiencing the unprecedented/unexpected growth ever since, thanks to China's ravenous appetite for natural resources, Australia had enjoyed a flourishing economy and social stability since then...
In early 2008, a powerful storm hit China, transport across Southern China completely paralyzed, in the first quarter economic report after the snowstorm, Chinese economy, for the first time in almost a decade, showed a slight trace of slowdown.
Few month later, the deadly hurricanes attacked Berma, killed milllions and left more destitute, the worst part was that Berma government refused to accept the international humanitarian aids for some very stupid reason.
Then in May, right after Tibet riots and the following international protests over Olympic torch relay, came the earthquake, how overwhelming and devastating that was I need not to repeat= =|||
That's when I first heard of this, that Australia is a lucky land...
But, it turns out that there is no such thing as Lucky land... First, the global financial crisis is sweeping through the Continent...one of my friend who's living in Australia now, wrote to me, that she'd been looking for a job for almost half a year, couldn't get one, as job demand spiked...then this, deadly bush fire in Melbourne is believed to be the worst one in Australia's history... killed hundreds and destroyed up to 400 homes... Firefighters are still battling nine blazes...
Therefore, it's understandable that the arsonist's life is in jeopardy, even though he is currently in protective custody... so much emotion, anger, disgust, hatred, and feelings of retaliation, which could easily bring out the worst in people... I am not surprised if he's attacked by some very angry residents... according to BBC, the arsonist is facing the charges of arson causing death and of intentionally starting a bushfire, a maximum 25-year sentence for the first charge, and 15 years for the second. Personally, I shall spare no sympathy for this bastard...such a shame that there is no death penalty in Australia...If it was in China, that would be what he'd get for what he've done...at least I am constantly reminded that existence of death penalty is for the greater common good...Just like Sanlu milk scandal= =|||The chief executive is sentenced to death...and the public feels ok about it...
